Ghazal named president and CEO of health care group
The Healthcare Leadership Council has named Maria Ghazal its next president and CEO. She succeeds Mary R. Grealy, who has retired after leading HLC for 24 years.
“Maria has a stellar record in public policy, legal affairs, advocacy and managing a CEO membership organization. Moreover, she has decades of experience in health care policy, including representing the voice of America’s leading CEOs during the debate over the Affordable Care Act,” said HLC Board Chairman Calvin Schmidt.
Ghazal was most recently senior vice president and counsel of Business Roundtable, where she spent 19 years. Earlier in her career, she was also director of health policy for the American Benefits Council for eight years.
She has a bachelor’s degree in political science and government from Bates College, a master’s degree in public policy from Georgetown University and a law degree from American University.
Larson to lead edible oil group
The Edible Oil Producers Association announced Claudia Larson has been named president and CEO.
She was most recently senior director of government relations and head of nutrition policy at the National Milk Producers Federation. Previously, she was communications director and strategic policy association for Congressman Jim Costa (D-CA.)
She has a bachelor’s degree in political science and communications and a master’s degree in political science from Boston College. She also has a doctorate degree in political science from Northeastern University.

American Beverage—Kasey Lovett has left her position as senior director of communications at American Beverage to join JP Morgan Chase as vice president of corporate communications and public affairs.
National Association of Manufacturers—Chad Moutray has left his position as chief economist of NAM and director of the Center for Manufacturing Research at The Manufacturing Institute. He has joined the National Restaurant Association as vice president of research and knowledge.

Business Roundtable—Will Anderson has joined the Business Roundtable as vice president of corporate governance. He was previously staff director for the House Financial Services capital markets subcommittee.
Clean Energy Buyers Association—Kyle L. Davis has joined CEBA as senior director of federal affairs. He was most recently head of federal policy and eastern region for the North American division of energy group Enel.
Consumer Technology Association—Jennifer Drogus has returned to CTA as vice president of global event communications. She was previously director of communications for the group from 2019 to 2022. Most recently, she spent two years as senior vice president of public affairs and crisis at communications firm BCW Global.
Digital Media Association—Colin Rushing has been named DMA’s executive vice president and general counsel. He was previously chief legal officer of music nonprofit SoundExchange.
Motion Picture Association—Patrick Kane has joined MPA as vice president of digital strategy. He previously led digital communication strategy for the British Embassy.
National Alliance for Public Charter Schools—Ben Arcuri has joined NAPCS as director of government relations. He was previously federal legislative director for the National Association of Home Builders.
Transportation Intermediaries Association—Dora McCann is now director of government affairs at TIA. She was previously executive director of the East Village Association.
Wireless Infrastructure Association—Karen Groppe has joined WIA as vice president of communications. She was previously senior director of global communications for ACT | The App Association.
